Event Management
Planning and executing events is one of my favorite things to do and the place I have found my creative side flourishes the most. Sorority life sparked my passion for planning, starting with small recruitment events in college to the large-scale, city wide events I’ve helped with now. From conference events with hotel buy outs to bridal showers to New Years Eve Parties, no event is too small to be incredible. When I am not planning events for someone else, I am at home planning my own!
Team Leadership
When leading a team, I put the most weight in making sure my people feel valued and appreciated. Getting to know your team and understanding what is expected and needed of both parties is pivotal to succeeding. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty, facilitating my team in whatever ways I can and taking pride in understanding how each role contributes to the whole. “That’s not my job” is not a phrase I condone, and I have found this outlook warrants the respect and appreciation of the people I work with. Collaboration is key to the teams success, and I take pride in being a part of bringing people together.
Project Management
Ah, project management. Challenging and fast paced, requiring meticulous attention to detail and organization. Professionally, a majority of the projects I have managed have been in print, refining processes for the fulfillment of graphic displays for thousands of stores around the world. From giant brands like Sephora to the local gym, perfection is a promise made to every client. The problem solving and planning aspects of this role are where I shine and I take pride in each completed project!
Volunteer Management
My friends and family have always told me that I have a knack for making anyone feel comfortable, and I think this is one of my most desirable skills when it comes to volunteer management. Unlike managing a paid team, keeping volunteers motivated and engaged can be challenging because of the pre-conceived lack of reward. My skills in organization and planning make the logistics of volunteer management run easy to digest and smooth moving, but my ability to show people the effects the investment of their time is what encourages people to give their time and efforts again.
